Greetings Fellow Dragfools:
Had some time Saturday afternoon to help my dad and nephews move around a few cars and fire off a few. This is a great way to get excited for the upcoming season.
Hearing a blown Hemi fire off and rip up a wheel stand, oh ya. But the best part was spending time with family.
We are pulling motor out of the dragster to have a mild rebuild done. During this time, it is also good to go over car from front to back, heck it is fun.
Look at brakes, tires, look at all electrical connections, check nuts and bolts, and my favorite part up, is clean up on the way back. Sometimes just detailing, you can find some minor issue's, which is a lot easier to deal with in the garage, not the track.
Most importantly, what about the trailor and rigs we pull with? Yes, that's right, we have hundreds invested in our cars, but what about the trailor? Good time to check electrical connections, wheel bearings, tires, spares, inventory, and a over all good clean up. But dont forget the pull rig. Same thing, oil, electrical, hitch, you catch my drift. Even the Golf carts need some attention.
Drop me a email if you have any thoughts or questions.
Regards,
Christopher
